ABOUT US

Welcome to our piece of India

Our authentic Indian vegetarian dishes are a piece of home we’re excited to share with you.

Born from plenty of travelling, hard work, and a love for food, we introduced a whole new world to Tamil Nadu in 1969 when our first vegetarian restaurant sold lassi, roti, badam milk, and chole.

In 1974, when we opened another restaurant in Chennai, right opposite the Chennai Egmore railway station, I wanted to strike a chord with our diners: I wanted them to know that the food we serve would give them the same comfort and satisfaction they would enjoy with their mother’s cooking.

Today, we preserve forgotten dishes and help newer generations taste the joy of local favourites like seeraga samba pongal, ragi dosa, jowar dosa, and kambu dosa, which are rich in nutrients.

In doing so, I’m proud to say that we don’t use any colouring agents, MSG or used oil. We only use the freshest vegetables.
